Representative Criminal Matters
New Jersey “Bridgegate” Investigation: Represented Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer in her allegations of threats and undue influence by the Christie administration.
United States v. Tamika Riley: Represented co-defendant of Newark Mayor Sharpe James in six-week federal jury trial on charges of fraudulently obtaining development properties from the City of Newark.
United States v. Robert W. Lee: Represented founder and president of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) on charges of commercial bribery in exchange for boxing ratings and fight sanctions.
State of Florida v. Alan Mackerley: Represented New Jersey business man charged with murder of rival school bus company owner.
State of New Jersey v. Michelle Lodzinski: Represented client charged with murder 25 years after the death of her five-year old son. Client was convicted of murder after an eight-week trial. On appeal, New Jersey Supreme Court initially affirmed client’s conviction 3-3, but granted client’s motion to appoint temporary tie-breaker Justice, granted rehearing, reversed client’s conviction 4-3, and ordered entry of a judgment of acquittal.

Cramer Capital Corp. v. D. Wyatt Stone: Represented author and television host Jim Cramer at trial of claims against professionals and former partner in a real estate investment deal. Case settled after opening statements.
City of Hoboken v. Exxon, et als: Represent Hoboken in pending action for damages and injunctive relief against fossil fuel companies.
IMO Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Pleading, etc.: Represented Citibank N.A. in civil action to revise foreclosure procedures of six leading New Jersey residential mortgage providers.
IMO Sherbourne Capital Management: Represented principal of investment company in SEC investigation and parallel criminal case.
Essex County Improvement Authority v. Celanese Corp.: Successfully defended chemical manufacturer at trial construing an environmental indemnity provision that exposed the Company to potentially limitless remediation liability.
In Re Schering-Plough Corporation/ENHANCE Securities Litigation: Represented twelve former Schering-Plough directors in the Vytorin® securities fraud class action. Case settled on eve of trial.
ElSayed v. Bristol-Myers Squibb Co.: Represented Company and two executives at trial of employment discrimination claims. Jury found no cause for action on all counts.
Representative Sports Matters
Represented former New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis as local counsel in civil contract case against his former attorney and agent.
Represented Bobby Gonzalez, former Seton Hall men’s basketball coach, in his federal suit against the University for wrongful termination and breach of contract.
Represented Jozy Altidore, U.S. Olympic and professional soccer star, in the negotiated termination of contract with his former agents, enabling Jozy to sign a multi-million dollar contract with a European team.
Represented NBA agent David Falk in two contested NBPA arbitrations with rival agents for Allen Iverson and Stephon Marbury.
